So Much To Be Thankful For~
Monday, November 22, 2010

Good afternoon all;

It is amazing!!  We needed to bridge the shortfall and Cathy & Rosemarie answered our prayers.

We received an anonymous donation today in the amount of $50,000. Please send your thoughts and best wishes to our most generous benefactor.

In other news:  Janet Swanson and her efforts have made a connection to a family that has committed a $5,000 donation from the proceeds of their memorial family golf tournament.  Thank you Janet and a special thanks to your friends.

My matching campaign raised $2,860 so with my matching amount we have another $5,720.  If anyone wants a copy of my email letters to have their own campaign let me know.

It looks like we have about $20,000 to go and our obligation will be fulfilled.

We are planning to have two more events. Stay tuned for details.

Thanks to all. With a special thanks to Sue Penta, Janet Swanson, Jeanne Marrazzo, Cid Baugniet and Sgarzi family for your time and efforts.

Warm regards,
John H. Nardozzi, Treasurer

Donate Now Through Network For Good
On Saturday, December 4th, 2010, Celebrate Life Volunteers hosted
a pancake breakfast for guests of Hope Lodge Boston.  Terry Sgarzi Delano, Cathy's sister, was one of the event planners.  She later received this email which truly makes all our hard work so worthwhile...

Your family is amazing!
One of the most amazing points here at Hope Lodge is the interaction between the guest. Its like having an ongoing 'support group' right here under one roof. Its based on a genuine caring, sharing personal details, and helping one another during tougher moments. Volunteers that come here share their heart, food, activities, and even just by being here, they provide us with an opportunity to congregate downstairs for a period of time, elevating the morale more than you could imagine.

We were so excited when we found out that a breakfast would be provided by volunteers. What we received by your presence was so much more. You guys totally touched us with your kindness, and a terrific menu. The food was delicious, you can actually open a family Restaurant !!!!!  Since my husband, who had a kidney and bone marrow transplants together in September, is not allowed to go to public places and restaurants for 100 days, my outing has been limited as well. Twice in 3 months is actually a minuscule price to pay for him getting better. Yet, your breakfast with the professional menu was soooo good, that we/ I certainly got a treat, as if it was a restaurant but better. (~:   THANK YOU!

I loved watching the cousins take such an active role- sharing an act of kindness, as they followed you guys-their 'wow' role models.  When I found out about the money Sue had raised... tears came to my eyes. WOW again!!!  And I'm sorry about her sister...

I'm so touched by you!!!

THANK YOU again!!!!!
