The Mission

The mission of the Celebrate Life Foundation is to help the American Cancer Society create the Boston chapter of the Hope Lodge.

The Hope Lodge serves as a "healing house" for patients suffering from cancer. They, along with their spouse or other family member or friend, can come to recover and recharge.

Instead of a cold, expensive hotel, patients can relax in a low stress, home like setting, which may even help speed the recovery process.

This facility will include 40 private rooms, kitchen facilities, a library, movie room, meditation garden, a support and information center, transportation to treatment and more.

Many cancer patients must travel away from their homes to receive the proper care and treatment they need. The Hope Lodge is a facility to comfort those who need it and more importantly, provide patients with support during those difficult times.

The American Cancer Society created a Hope Lodge in Worcester, Massachusetts, 20 years ago.  Nationwide, there are 24 American Cancer Society Hope Lodges and several more undergoing construction.

Our goal is to provide the Hope Lodge with $400,000, over the next five years, to help in the construction process.  We will be naming one or more significant areas of the facility in honor of our loved ones, Rosemarie and Catherine.

Hopefully we will be able to reach our goal with ease and continue to help towards the construction of the Hope Lodge with additional donations as well.
